Cottage Description

·       Sunny open concept two story living/dining room with cathedral ceilings.
 

·       Gorgeous south view overlooking sheltered bay and main lake.
 

·       Flat lot with gentle slope to shoreline, shallow entry to clean, weed free lake.  Well suited to those with limited mobility.
 

·      Huge wrap around deck and patio furniture. 
 

·      Napoleon propane BBQ  -  thoroughly cleaned before your arrival.

·       Gas fireplace (no wood to haul).

·       Central heating, the cottage is  warm and comfortable.

·       Satellite TV, VCR, DVD, CD Player, Telephone, Cell Phone reception (usually OK) in living room.

·       Well-equipped kitchen with new appliances including dish washer and all amenities (toaster, coffee maker/grinder, microwave etc.).

·       Laundry facilities - front loading washer/dryer in separate laundry room.

·       Quite paved country road - peaceful walks, little traffic with good emergency access.

·       Excellent parking for 4 cars in driveway summer,  limited to 2 cars in winter.

·       Canoe included - 2 adult life jackets/paddles and safety equipment. 

·       Kayak

·       Boat Traffic: The cottage is situated in a sheltered bay away from boat traffic on the main lake.

·       Boat docking is available on the newly constructed dock (10'x30'). Due to the gentle slope of the lake bottom, water levels are shallow late in the season, however docking is possible all season long, even for large boats.  Boat rentals are also available from both the marinas on the lake.

·       Comfortable sleeping arrangements in bright bedrooms:

      Bedroom 3    Queen bed and 2 single beds (stacked as a bunk bed) - Floor 2

·       Waterfront: Kennisis Lake is clear, weed free and has no leaches or blood suckers.  Water access at the cottage gently slopes with no drop offs and is safe for novice swimmers (children must always be supervised).  Depending on water levels, the beach is sandy or silty.  Beach area varies depending on water level and is typically available by mid August. A 10'x10' deck is also available at the shoreline - right at the waters edge. 

·       Lawn - for environmental and maintenance reasons, we have landscaped the property with trees, shrubs and gardens. We do not maintain a lawn.
 

·       Shopping is available at the marina (milk, bread, gas, video tapes, pop, ice cream).  A larger country store is 20 minutes away at West Guilford.  Full service grocery stores are available in Minden or Haliburton (Haliburton has an IGA open to 9:00PM every day during the summer).

·       Small TV in one bedroom for children's video connections (this TV is not hooked into the satellite system)

·       The cottage is immaculately clean and is inspected between every rental to ensure your vacation will be a pleasant one.   Please see our expectations of renters regarding cleanup.
