Summer attractions include:

Haliburton Forest and Wolf Centre is 5 minutes by car from the cottage features wilderness adventure activities including:

  • The Wolf Centre

  • Mountain biking

  • Hiking

  • Astronomy

  • Wildlife observation

  • Walk in the Clouds forest canopy tour 

The walk in the clouds program is very popular and should be booked early.  We suggest you book it when booking the cottage to avoid disappointment for this interesting feature.  Contact the Haliburton Forest at (705) 754-2198 or at Haliburton Forest.

 

 

 

Our sheltered  bay offers excellent opportunities for canoeing and kayaking. A canoe and kayak is provided at no additional charge.

Haliburton Studio Tour  800-461-7677. Visit each artist's studio and experience the creative process. Talk to the artist or watch demonstrations. An abundance of handmade, original works of art will be on display for show and sale or commission your own works. 

Haliburton School of Fine Arts - many of our visitors stay at the cottage and take a week long course at the school.  Learn during the day, relax at the lake at night.

Algonquin Park - about 2.5 hours from cottage.  Several guests have used the park to canoe/hike/bike and the cottage as a home base.  Roughing it in comfort.

The Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce has a site listing many of the local events.  It is updated often to reflect new events.

    Beaverbrook Golf Course, Minden: Off Highway #35 in Minden on the Gull River. It's 9 holes are well kept with mostly flat terrain and numerous water hazards. Par 35 - 3010 yds.
  •  Blairhampton Golf Club - 705-286-1315

Blairhampton Golf Club: off Horseshoe Rd. North of Minden by Horseshoe Lake. Blairhampton features 18 holes and is noted for varied terrain, lush fairways and excellent greens-keeping. Par 72 - 6500 yds.

  • Haliburton Highlands Golf Course - 705-457-2233

Haliburton Highlands Golf Club: Off of South Kashagawigamog Rd. A short but scenic course, Haliburton Highlands Golf overlooks beautiful Kashagawigamog Lake. It's a 9-hole course, pretty and very hilly, with an exceptional view of the lake from the 8th tee. Par 33 - 2210 yds.

Pinestone Golf Course: Located on Hwy 121 just south of village of Haliburton. Pinestone’s 18-hole course offers picturesque narrow fairways with a number of challenging dog legs. Par 71 - 6100 yds.

Winter Area Attractions

 

Winter hikes along our quite roadway offer an easy and peaceful method of getting a bit of exercise and enjoying the countryside.  Our area features pine and mature hemlocks - some as old as 400 years.

Cross country skiing is available in the immediate area.
